What is Zombie Protocol

Zombie Protocol is a hardcore isometric survival sim where two lives are always on the line: yours and your baby’s. In this world, noise kills. Breaking glass, slammed doors, gunshots — and even a hungry infant’s cry — draw the dead from every direction.

Plan every move: scavenge formula and meds, craft weapons, slip in and out of houses quietly, and if things go south, sprint for the car and make a break for it — risking a horde with the roar of the engine.

Cities are procedurally generated: new districts, interior layouts, loot spots and escape routes force you to rethink your strategy every run. Silence is your best ally.

What sets Zombie Protocol apart from ordinary zombie survival games is that sound is the currency of risk. There is no "detected" meter: the dead simply walk toward whatever just made noise. Break a window to take a shortcut and a crowd will be at that house a minute later.

The second layer is the baby. They get hungry and cold, they cry at the worst possible moment, and you cannot leave them in the safehouse "for a couple of hours". Every run for formula and medicine is a calculation: how far you can get while they are calm, and what you do if you are too slow.

Cities are generated procedurally: districts, interior layouts, loot spots and escape routes change every run. You will never memorise a route — you will learn to read a city. The car speeds everything up and makes you audible across the district, so "drive or walk" is an honest decision every time.

FAQ

Zombie Protocol FAQ

What is Zombie Protocol about?

It is an isometric survival sim set in a city after the outbreak. You do not survive alone: there is an infant to feed, keep warm and protect. Zombies react to sound, so almost every mistake is audible — and comes for you.

When does Zombie Protocol release?

The exact date is still being finalised. The Steam page is already live: wishlist it and Steam will notify you on release day.

Is there a Zombie Protocol demo?

Yes, a free demo is available on Steam as a separate page, so you can try before buying.

Is there Russian language support?

Yes. The game ships in Russian, English, German, French and Chinese, all five with full audio.

Is there multiplayer or co-op?

No, Zombie Protocol is single-player. The whole design rests on the fact that nobody is coming to help you.

How is it different from other zombie survival games?

Two things: a baby you cannot leave behind and who makes noise on their own, and sound as the core system — the dead walk toward anything loud, including your own gunshot and the noise of your car engine. On top of that, cities are generated fresh every run.
